The Women in History free DLC was announced on 2015-03-06 and released 2015-03-08 alongside Patch 1.11.[1] Since patch 1.29.3 it is part of the base game. Unlike the free Songs of Yuletide music pack, Women in History is automatically downloaded and does not need to be added to your Steam account.

  • One Hundred new events for important women in history such as Queen Elizabeth I, Caterina Sforza and Sophie Germain.
  • Female advisors can appear at your court in place of their male counterparts.
  • Female portraits for all 22 advisor types in the game.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

The DLC includes some changes in event text like replacing He is... with They are... to reflect grammatically the presence of women characters in the game.
