Please don't delete the versioning, just change the number to bring it up to date. Otherwise when future versions come out 1.13 1.14 etc we won't know where needs to be updated. Dauth (talk) 13:33, 23 July 2015 (CEST)

I've seen its still got the tag in the main section which is good thanks. Dauth (talk) 13:45, 23 July 2015 (CEST)
Yep, since I've re-written the whole strategy section. Right now everything is up-to-date, I'm going to update versioning of the whole article and remove 'rewrite', 'Copy edit' as well since these are solved I believe.--E boyd (talk) 13:52, 23 July 2015 (CEST)

Talk about "Subject_nation" and "Vassal" pages

I am not very familiar with the wiki (which make me a kind of newbie here :)) and as I don't find another way to start a conversation about the page "Subject_nation", where you undo a minor change I previously made.

I wanted to add more information on this page ( about all Subject Interactions, for each subject nation. And I began with Vassals interactions, which have already been filled in on the Vassal special page.

Currently we can only find information about Vassal Interaction on aforementioned page ( I don't think it is the better place to put that information.

Maybe we should add Subject interactions information in the Subject_nation page (for Vassals, Marches, Protectorates, Colonial Nations and Personal Unions) and delete information about Vassal interaction and Marches in "".

What do you think ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erthzeid (Talk) 14:15, 11 August 2015‎ (CET)

Hi there! It's great that you asked, I hate to undo other people's work and happy to have a chance to explain.

Now, why don't you think so? AFAIK subject interactions are specific to every subject type so it is only logical to put info on vassals' interactions on the Vassal page, colonial nations' interactions on the Colonial Nation page etc., no?
The Subject nation page, as it is now, contains introduction into the general concept of a subject nation and the list of all types of subject nations with short descriptions and links to detailed pages. Moving or copying some specific data from those detailed pages back into that intro page could create confusion for readers (like, why interactions are there but effects are not, for instance?) and editors (esp., copying info which is prone to change with patches, since editors will normally update one copy but not the other).
I think some mentioning of the possibility of interactions on the Subject nation page should be ok though, with detailed info kept on the relevant pages. Currently, only Vassal, Protectorate and Colonial Nation have subsections on interactions, maybe you can create those on pages of other subject types?
All that said, generally speaking, Subject nation part of the wiki is not in a very good shape right now, what I've written above is my vision of how it should be, if you have other ideas, please, share! --E boyd (talk) 22:00, 11 August 2015 (CEST)
I think the subject nation page should have a (general) section about subject interaction. (As target for the redirect: subject interaction.) – Lillebror (talk) 09:16, 12 August 2015 (CEST)
Reasonable. Done.--E boyd (talk) 12:01, 12 August 2015 (CEST)
The pages all look much better now. A query, should we have a separate page for a march? I know its a version of a vassal but wanted to see what you guys think. Dauth (talk) 12:24, 12 August 2015 (CEST)
That's a good question, march kinda stands out. Isn't a client state also just a customizable vassal? I feel that March and Client state should be on the same level; either both should have separate pages, or both should be subsections on the Vassal page. Unfortunately, I don't have a first-hand experience on neither, I can't really guess what would be more natural. For instance, do they have their own sets of subject interactions or is it the same as for a simple vassal? --E boyd (talk) 13:24, 12 August 2015 (CEST)
Pro seperate page for march. – Lillebror (talk) 07:45, 15 August 2015 (CEST)
In agreement with Lillebror, lets get them on their own pages. After that we can have a general page on subject nations and then specific pages for each type. Dauth (talk) 10:16, 15 August 2015 (CEST)
And looks like they have their own set of interactions, agreed, we need a separate page. Done: March - hopefully I didn't miss anything. Subject nation wiki subsection looks more structured now for sure. --E boyd (talk) 00:09, 16 August 2015 (CEST)
