Royal marriages affect improved relations

I can't see it mentioned in the section, but noticed it in-game in my improve relations modifiers in the diplomacy tab.

thanks for the suggestion. I added royal marriages and the other missing modifiers to the improve relations modifiers table --Grotaclas (talk) 02:42, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Limit on improved relations

Improved relations can go over, 100 information here is incorrect.--Frontal nl (talk) 22:40, 15 December 2013 (CET)

The limit for most nation-nation improved relations is +100. The limit for suzerain-vassal improved relations is +200. Not sure how best to incorporate that information into the page. --Pookles (talk) 21:18, 16 December 2013 (CET)
Added a note to the list of modifiers.--E boyd (talk) 23:17, 25 June 2015 (CEST)

What does trust do?

Just wondering, would be good to have that part expanded on.

Acquire needed attitude

Would be nice to have a more exact explanation of attitude changes. Like what are exact conditions for reaching friendly attitude, since it's often required for proper offensive wars. Gendalf (talk) 14:29, 7 June 2015 (CEST)

5.1 Improving relations redundant?

There is a similar section in Diplomacy Diplomacy#Improve_relations which is more up-to-date.--E boyd (talk) 23:25, 25 June 2015 (CEST)

It's relevant to both pages, so it should probably be on both. More up to date info should definitely be carried over though. ~ Meneth (talk) 15:09, 26 June 2015 (CEST)
I completely reworked this section. Instead of copy-pasting Improve Relations section of Diplomacy page I assembled the list of actions available if you want to improve relations. Short descriptions and links to relevant Dimplomacy sections included. Check if it's ok. --E boyd (talk) 23:22, 26 June 2015 (CEST)
Looks good. Don't remove the section versioning though in the future; set it to the latest version instead. It won't display for readers unless it is outdated, but removing it makes it harder to tell in the future if a section might be outdated. ~ Meneth (talk) 23:59, 26 June 2015 (CEST)

better relations over time

Is there a place in the UI to see the current modifier? I know only about Improve relations in the country diplomacy screen, below diplorep.Gendalf (talk) 17:35, 18 July 2015 (CEST)

Protective&Domineering attitude

I've never seen these 2 attitudes, do they even still exist in the game? Gendalf (talk) 16:23, 17 August 2015 (CEST)

Well, they are still in common\00_ai_attitudes.txt. They are probably triggered for really small nations only.--E boyd (talk) 22:08, 17 August 2015 (CEST)

I don't think diplo-annexing causes AE, after some hours spent with the game. I vaguely remember a message to that effect on the loading screens as well. Mindcorrosive (talk) 10:03, 29 August 2013 (CEST)

It doesn't, which is one of the major advantages of it. ~ Meneth (talk) 10:04, 29 August 2013 (CEST)

Historical friend

Thoughts on the possibility of creating a list of historical friends either here or in another article? Dauth (talk) 14:58, 9 February 2016 (CET)

I imagine a list detailing such factors of diplomatic relations at 1444 [not just historical rivals/friends] might be useful to strategy writers. It will have to be more prominent for them to find it though. ~ SolSys (talk) 20:28, 9 February 2016 (CET)

List of relations

Is here the best place for it or should we have another page? Dauth (talk) 11:45, 26 August 2016 (CEST)

Depends on the size. If it would overwhelm this article, it should be a separate article. Otherwise, it should be here. Compassionate727 (talk) 13:59, 26 August 2016 (CEST)

Merge of 'relations_decay_of_me' and 'improve_relation_modifier'

As stated by Johan ( ), "We also merged the 'relations_decay_of_me' modifier into 'improve_relation_modifier'. They were basically the same functionality, and this makes the game easier to understand."

So, the template:bonus_table for relation over time should not show: 'The modifier “better relations over time” was removed with patch 1.19.' The only thing that changes is the name of the variable. So Italian tradition, Humanist-Diplomacy policies etc... still have the same effect and should be in the table. Maybe is there a new bonus table to create to keep consistancy ? -- FrogCrusher (talk) 12:52, 22 January 2017 (CET)

The game does't understand 'relations_decay_of_me' (Better Relations Over Time) anymore. So does the {{bonus table}} template. The error message might not be optimal and 100% correct. (I've changed the message now - hopefully in your sense.) The template is up to date. Perhaps you try {{bonus table|improve relation modifier}}. – Lillebror (talk) 13:33, 22 January 2017 (CET)

Does alliance reduce aggressive expansion?

If I am allied to A, and take provinces from B, does A have a reduction in AE since we are allied? 2001:B011:4005:351C:501A:A67:E0F6:9792 14:14, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Probably yes. But I think it is not known by how much. The whole section about AE contains several errors and is missing a real formula Grotaclas (talk) 13:54, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Why does AE attainment decreases in late game?

In early games taking provinces totaling about 30 developments may elicit a coalition, while in late game that number seems to be doubled, that is, countries gain less AE in late games. Is there an explanation for this thing? Does absolutism or administrative efficiency affects AE attainment? Monsgo (talk) 08:43, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Yes, they are. Aggressive expansion is affected by administrative efficiency which means it is also affected by absolutism indirectly. ~ SolSys (talk) 18:49, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. I have tested and added this modifier to the article. ~ Monsgo (talk) 13:34, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
