Friendship events[1] may be triggered by a battle between historical friends.

For as long as anyone remembers we have considered ourselves to be friends with the [From.GetAdjective]. However with the recent humiliating defeat at the hands of our former friends all talk of the historical friendship between our two must be regarded as mere words. Back home mothers are learning of the death of their sons at the hands of the armies of [From.GetName], friendship or even peace seems like a distant dream.

Is triggered only by

a lost battle with a chance of 10%.


Immediate effects

The winner of the battle gets the event ‘Growing Animosity’.

The country does not regard the winner of the battle as a historical friend anymore.

One of the casualties of our current war seems to have been our long history of friendship between the [From.GetAdjective] and us. After the crushing defeat we recently imparted on the [From.GetAdjective] armies we fear they may never forgive us.
