While the Manchu and Mongol steppe hordes and the Japanese daimyo are in the Far East area, they're covered on separate pages.

The Far East is a region filled with many minor states. A few of these have unique national ideas, but most use either the generic ideas, or the Malayan group. The nations in the Far East are all in the Chinese technology group with the exception of the Manchu steppe hordes and Buryatia. As contact with the Western world often takes centuries to happen, the Far East will usually hold out for quite some time.

Formable countries

Notable countries

Notable countries have unique national ideas and/or missions, decisions and events that differentiate them from other more generic countries:

Siberian natives

Template:Idea group/Siberian Although these countries are natives, they do not share most of the native mechanics of their New World counterparts.
However they can migrate and share a somewhat similar government.
