Strategic movement speed for naval units[edit]

I noticed that you updated the table for strategic movement speeds in naval units and marked them as verified. May I know if you actually checked that the values still apply to ships of tier 2 and higher, or was it merely a stylistic change? The old table listed specific tier 1 ship models (i.e. Early Carrack, Barque, Galley, Cog) because those were the only ones that were tested. Vyn (talk) 05:06, 11 November 2014 (CET)

"Strategic" movement speed is based on unit type, not individual units, and it can be viewed in common\defines.lua, lines 461~464 (patch 1.8). As far as I am aware at least, but I have not yet seen anything to the contrary. - SweetHalcyHS (talk) 05:28, 11 November 2014 (CET)
Ah... I was not even aware that the strategic movement speed could be adjusted in defines.lua. It's a relief to see the coded values agree with observations. Looks like I should go through that file at some point to figure out all the arbitrary constants that could be used for in game formulas. Vyn (talk) 11:32, 11 November 2014 (CET)
