Hi Sizvahstar. Your edit was removed for breaching the Style guide and Country style guide. If you want to work on your guide I've copied if to your userpage. Cheers Dauth (talk) 17:29, 7 March 2018 (CET)

Hi Dauth! Seeing as I was not even aware of said styles it was bound to happen. I've edited it and hope it is up to par now.
May I also inquire why the Tokugawa guide was taken down - specifically, which part did not follow the style guide? It was very useful to me and I'd like to reinstate it even if I have to edit it myself. Cheers!

No worries about not knowing the guides. As for the current version I don't think you need quite so many headings. You can also use the transclusion function for the decisions. This way you get them to appear on the page but you don't need to write them. They'll also all be updated when we update the base version of the decision. I've edited your guide for the transclusions. We also tend to prefer prose to lists and italics to bold. We don't use proscriptive instructions as the game can evolve differently for different players so saying "do this" may not apply if the AI has taken another route.
As to the Tokugawa page the following issues existed.
  1. Use of gender: Please use gender neutral language
  2. Prescriptive instructions: Make more generic
  3. Excessive use of bold/capitals: Use italics instead for emphasis, if emphasis is not needed then remove
  4. List: Reformat into prose (a listed ideas section is acceptable)
  5. Absence of links: Links missing or replaced by bold or italics which do not function
  6. Poor sectioning: Article should be broken up into easy to understand sections
I hope this explains everything and if you have any questions let me know. Thanks Dauth (talk) 11:13, 8 March 2018 (CET)
Thank you for the information and help! I've edited the text to make away with the headings and get rid of the issues you noted for Tokugawa, however I'm fairly certain you mean I should rewrite the "step by step" into a more generic overview, correct?

Once my edited guide is approved, will you put it into the Uesugi page or shall I cope paste it in their? Cheers! Sizvahstar 16:42, 8 March 2018 (CET)

Apologies for the delay in responding. I've been otherwise engaged. I think the only real change we need is to remove the step by step headings and reformat that content into a series of paragraphs. Such as changing:

Step 1: Identify and pick weak Rivals

  • Rivals such as Date and Takeda are weak and ideal.
  • Hosokawa always start with Uesugi as their Rival, and allied to Hatakeyama, but Rivalling them early is premature for two reasons:
    • Hosokawa is stronger than Uesugi in the beginning, and are situated on the west side of Japan.
      • Uesugi's navy will not withstand the combined enemy navy of Hosokawa and Hatakeyama, making an invasion of the island(s) of west Japan nigh impossible.

To say

Picking weak rivals early on is ideal, examples include Date and Takeda. Hosokawa always start with Uesugi as a rival and they are allied to Hatakeyama. Counter-rivalling may be counter productive however as Hosokawa start stronger than Uesugi, and are situated on the west side of Japan and are thus out of easy striking distance. Furthermore Uesugi's navy will also struggle against the combined enemy navy of Hosokawa and Hatakeyama, making an invasion of the island(s) of west Japan very difficult.

The latter contains the same information but is presented as a series of concepts for the reader; instead of bullet points that state facts with little room for interpretation. I hope this explains what we mean by being opposed to listed content. Cheers, Dauth (talk) 00:04, 12 March 2018 (CET)
No worries! I've tried to delete all "points" in list form, although there are a few left I consider to be viable instead of a heavy use of parentheses. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible to add "flags" of achievements. How does it look now?

I've made a few minor structure changes and removed a lot of the subtitles and inverted commas. This makes the guide flow a bit better. If you can make sure I haven't accidentally broken anything then you're welcome to copy it across to the Uesugi page. Cheers, Dauth (talk) 11:10, 16 March 2018 (CET)

Thanks a bunch! There was only one thing broken, I fixed that and added lots of icons but otherwise it's the same as you left it. I've also pasted it into Uesugi now. Thanks for all the help, cheers! Sizvahstar 01:56, 22 March 2018 (CET)
