some general questions[edit source]
Quick question, the parliament issue, fortification tax has this argument for its multiplier : chance = {
- factor = 1
- modifier = {
- factor = 0
- NOT = { fort_15th = 2 }
- NOT = { fort_16th = 2 }
- NOT = { fort_17th = 2 }
- NOT = { fort_18th = 2 }
- modifier = {
} Im not really able to understand the logic, my best guess is that atleast two of your owned forts need to be up to date for the issue to be able to show up. Can you help?
- also, do you know the triggers for the AI attitude "defensive" works? i cant get the Ai to do it but i need to check its impact on "invite to empire" Greeny3x3 (talk) 15:27, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- The forts don't need to be uptodate. You just need two forts of the same type. Or to explain it in the way which is coded: If you have less than two level-2-forts (fort_15th) and less than two level-4-forts (fort_16th) and less than two level-6-forts (fort_17th) and less than two level-8-forts (fort_18th), then the modifier factor is 0 which makes the chance 0. I assume that a 0 chance means it will never be selected, but I'm not sure about it, because sometimes issues are much more or less likely than their chance (taking into account the modifiers) would suggest. I guess the people who previously edited the article ignored this condition, because they assumed that the factor 0 can never happen if the allow-conditions(at least 3 provinces with at least a level 2 fort) are fulfilled. But if I see it correctly, the allow can be true if a country has for example one level 2 fort, one level 6 fort and one level 8 fort. But then the modifier factor would be 0. I have no idea about the defensive attitude. I can't remember if I ever saw it in a game. The description on Relations#Attitude sounds like you have to be allied for it, but I think that would cause the allied attitude which is not even mentioned in the list. Maybe it is very rare or not used anymore. --Grotaclas (talk) 17:28, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- so if i understand you correctly "If not atleast two of your Forts are of the same Level: ×0" would be a correct argument? Yeah i think the defensive attitude isnt in use anymore, according to some forum posts from 2014 the AI used to have that attitude if they deemed you to "weak" to help them. However currently the Ai seems to always have the "allied" attitude even if you tell them that you wont join offensive wars. I think it would be good to check the hardcode itself if possible so that we can update the wiki accurately. Greeny3x3 (talk) 22:33, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- Also do you know how i can check exactly what features are unlocked by lions of the north? The expansions page isnt very clear on it... Greeny3x3 (talk) 04:59, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- Another thing, the "Decision" and "Event" templates need an update so that they can show 2 different DLC enabling it. For example "Hoist the Black Flag" is now available with LoN and GC Greeny3x3 (talk) 05:44, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

German regional tags[edit source]
hello, you recently added information about the formation of Prussia, so I also noticed that in the decision on the formation of Swabia there is no requirement for a German regional tags, but I will not be able to verify this in the near future, so I would like to ask you to do this. Dmitriytosunov (talk) 04:30, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- checked the game files for the formation decisions for all german regional tags when I made the edit about Prussia. Prussia is the only one that can be formed by other german regional tags. The formation decision on the Swabia page is missing a lot of information, but this was already fixed by Lillebror in the Formation decisions page. I'll transclude the decision on the swabia page from there. --Grotaclas (talk) 13:43, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
New World Capital Move[edit source]
Per your request, a screenshot for 1.30.4 of the requirement to have third of total provinces in a new world (cross continent) capital move at imgur path /a/CMMebfy (I might be missing something, and maybe just a requirement clarification is needed). I also not sure why I can't add this to the capital discussion page (probably the link)
- This is very interesting. I have never seen this message(although I now found it in the game files). I tried to reproduce your situation (Arabia, Golden Era, Age of Revolutions, owning and moving to Boriken), but I only ever get the message "We cannot move our capital to a colonial region, not while we still have a big heartland around it. Only when our capital is the only province in a state on that continent, will it be possible.". But this requirement is already explained in the wiki. Can you check if you get that message when you deactivate all mods? Maybe you have an achievement compatible mod that changes the messages. If you still get the message without mods, can you please upload your save game somewhere so that I can have a look at it? Maybe I can find out how to get that message and if it is really possible to move the capital to a colonial region if 1/3 of the provinces are on that continent. And please sign your messages on talk pages with "~~~~" --Grotaclas (talk) 12:21, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, can't send a save. Already moved on in the game, and I'm playing Ironman. (going for 1-tag, so moving to new world is critical). I didn't move directly to Boriken. I trampolined through either maldives or sokotra (sp?). Don't remember. After a few years with the capital on that island and no states other than capital, the move capital button was available so I happily clicked. Not sure what was the difference from the initial time with the message. Sorry again. Also, I'm not using any mods, but only have part of the DLCs. I apologize for the etiquette issues, this change is my first wiki change attempt --Madda (talk)
- Having the capital on a single-province-island on the home continent was the missing bit. I got the message in my test game after moving the capital to Socotra. I did a few more tests and I only got the message when the current capital didn't have a land border with another province and I had at least one other state on the same continent as the current capital and I was trying to move to a colonial region. But I didn't always get the message so there are probably other criteria. But despite the message I was not able to move the capital to a province in the Caribbean even after getting more than 1/3 of my provinces in North America. After getting more provinces in North America, the message switched back to "We cannot move our capital to a colonial region, not while we still have a big heartland around it. Only when our capital is the only province in a state on that continent, will it be possible.". And when my capital was the last stated province on my home continent and it didn't border any other provinces, I was able to move the capital to a colonial region even if the new continent had less than 1/3 of the provinces. And I was also able to move the capital to a province that is not in a colonial region, while the new continent had only one province and the old capital was surrounded by many states and provinces. So I think that this is a case of wrong tooltip and this criteria is not in the game in the current version(maybe it existed in some old version). --Grotaclas (talk) 18:31, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Monuments page[edit source]
We tend to not use the tier 1 header. If you could drop everything down to tier 2 or below that will make it fit the style better. Thanks for all your good work. Dauth (talk) 11:10, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
Switzerland[edit source]
The new map shows that Switzerland only has five provinces under its control rather than six. It needs to be fixed. -- 9:51, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- Are you referring to
which is shown on the Countries page? Do I understand you correctly that Switzerland should own 6 provinces there? I see them with only 5 in the game at the 1444 start date: Bern (165), Waldstätte (166), Zürich (1869), St Gallen (1870) and Fribourg (4721). If colored wastelands are active, one of the section of the Alps gets the swiss color as well, but Switzrland doesn't own the province and wastelands are dark grey on the countries map. --Grotaclas (talk) 16:14, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
Fars[edit source]
Hello! With the upcoming arrival of Patch of 1.31.3, Fars has regained its previous color back and is no longer yellow. So the map needs to be edited. -- 17:34, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- I will update the map tomorrow if 1.31.3 is released by then. According to the patchnotes there will be some more map changes. If you want, you can update the map yourself. It is created by overlaying a map screenshot (with colored wastelands disabled) with eu4borderlayer.png which eu4borderlayer.py from ck2utils can generate. --Grotaclas (talk) 11:20, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- I updated the file. But it might take some time till the change becomes visible(usually less than one hour), because the wiki caches the image. --Grotaclas (talk) 23:01, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
Cloves[edit source]
Hi! Will you include the new trade good, cloves, to the trade goods page soon? 09:10, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- Feel free to add it yourself. The image already exists. BTW: there are no price change events for cloves --Grotaclas (talk) 12:53, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

Political map updated by patch 1.33[edit source]
Greetings! May I ask if you will upload the new map, considering the setup changes in Northeast Asia that were made by patch 1.33? 05:10, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Remaining Advisor Portraits and Advisor Portraits Map[edit source]
Good day! May I humbly request if you can upload the remaining advisor portraits for Southeast Asians, Polynesians, and Aboriginal Australians? Along with updating the advisor portraits map? Thank you! 04:44, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I don't have enough time right now and there are many more important tasks on the wiki. I will try to keep this in mind, but maybe you can remind me again next year if I didn't do it by then. Or you could do it yourself or ask User:UserID who did it before. --Grotaclas (talk) 17:16, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Copy on this. You're doing fine work for the wiki! I can remind you again next year if ever. But I'll also ask User:UserID if he can do it too. 05:25, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
Guns, Drums and Steel Volume 3[edit source]
Hello! Would it be possible if you can add "Guns, Drums and Steel Volume 3" along with its picture to the "Downloadable content 2" page? They released it last 17 March 2022. 18:18, March 8, 2023 (UTC)
