In Use[edit]

Please do noi ignore 'In Use' tags when editing pages. – Lillebror (talk) 08:41,

My bad, I saw it after commit. Will be more careful next time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capitaine Spock (talk) 08:48, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Swiss events[edit]

I finish the swiss events for 1.30, but the page does not exist, how to add it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capitaine Spock (talk) 11:32, 16 June 2020‎ (UTC)

Edit the redirect here [1]. Thanks, Dauth (talk) 08:41, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Common vandalism #3[edit]

Hello, can I have more details about the common vandalism? Be sure it's not intentional, I just want to update some events and it's the first time I update this wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capitaine Spock (talk) 14:18, 18 June 2020‎ (UTC)

Apologies, some of the language in the events triggered the filters. You're now in a group where it shouldn't affect you. Dauth (talk) 11:20, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Saxon events[edit]

I finish the Saxon events for 1.30, but the page does not exist (12 events instead of 1), can someone create a page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Capitaine Spock (talk) 13:58, 19 June 2020‎ (UTC)

You have editing rights to create pages. In this case just edit the redirect [2] Dauth (talk) 11:26, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi there, in the future please sign your comments with ~~~~. ~ SolSys (talk) 11:45, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Women in History events[edit]

I updated the tags for 1.30, and I also created a table to recap the id, name, country and dates in my Userpage. Do you think it worth to integrate those events into each country's event pages? Capitaine Spock (talk) 07:49, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Of course, if you like you can transclude the events into the pages. (existing example: Pattani) – Lillebror (talk) 08:51, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Seven cities trigger conditions[edit]

I'm rewriting the Seven cities events and I want to provide some probability.

On "00_on_actions", the events are part of "on_conquistador_empty" condition:
- "on_conquistador_empty" = each time a conquistador enters a uncolonized (and previously undiscovered?) province using "hunt for seven cities", I guess ?
- Each events have weight of 10 on a total of 3490 (with weight = 2000 for nothing), which means that there is only 0.3% chance to trigger the event. Since you need to start the hunt, at least one other event and finish the hunt, it seems to be quite exceptional. Is my calculation correct?
- For each event, there is the modifier "is empty = no --> 2x", which seems non-applicable with the "on_conquistador_empty" definition above. Is it meaningless/error or is my above definition wrong?

missing events[edit]

thanks for adding many missing events to the wiki. Did you create all of them manually or did you use a tool like pdxparse to partially generate them? I used pdxparse to generate the event pages which were still missing completely. If you like you could improve the events and fix the errors and make them more readable. If you don't like the output of pdxparse, you can throw all of it away and start anew. I used it mainly to see how good it is. I also wrote a script to generate a list of events which are still missing from the wiki. After fixing several events on the wiki which had no id or the wrong id and removing the events which can't happen in the current game version(e.g. always = no in the trigger), the following missing events remain:

  • ambrosian_republic.9
  • all center_of_revolution_events, because pdxparse can't handle the file for some reason
  • most of the emp_mission_events
  • empire_of_china_nomadic_border_events.3 (this and the next two events are just inform other countries about the disaster, but have no effect, so they are not really important)
  • empire_of_china_nomadic_border_events.4
  • empire_of_china_nomadic_border_events.5
  • most of the flavor_daimyo events
  • flavor_gra.2
  • flavor_gra.3
  • flavor_por.6
  • french_revolution.301
  • french_revolution.302
  • french_revolution.303
  • french_revolution.304
  • french_wars_of_religion.17
  • great_peasant_war.4
  • great_peasant_war.5
  • hre_event.6
  • hre_event.7
  • mch_missions.1
  • mch_missions.3
  • mch_missions.4
  • mch_missions.6
  • mch_missions.7
  • ming_crisis.9
  • new_flavour_hun.1 this and the next event should probably be in Incident_events
  • new_flavour_hun.201
  • new_flavour_hun.3
  • republics.102
  • shinto_events.59 and its corresponding decision become_confucian_daimyo
  • war_of_the_roses.200
  • war_of_the_roses.201

If you like, you could add these events to an appropriate page. If the pdxparse version of these events would be helpful for you, I could generate them and put them in my sandbox. I didn't add them to the wiki, because I can't really add the computer-generated template to a single event --Grotaclas (talk) 02:33, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, I did it manually, mostly because I don't know where to get pdxparse (I must admit I didn't check for long), but also because my job give me plenty of time right now due to pandemic. If you can share a link, that would be nice, so at least I wouldn't have to retrieve the localisation each time. As well, if you know a tool to get/update the map (for example to highlight home province of each mercenary companies), I would appreciate. Regarding the missing events, I can take care of them. You can generate them in your sandbox, I will update them afterwards. You can also find in my sandbox the (ongoing) list of all events. I think that some of them are still missing. Kind regards ~

pdxparse is available at https://github.com/HairyDude/pdxparse (or at my fork). But you would have to compile it yourself. AFAIK no compiled version is available. I generated the missing events and put them in my sandbox (if you places were the output is wrong and not just outputs the game code, you can add it to this buglist). I think the only other events which are missing from the wiki are the center_of_revolution events which I listed at the top of the sandbox page. Do you think that something else is missing? The other events for which your list says no page are at Indian Empire events, Chinese Empire events, Bahmani events, Mewari events, Mughals events(decision_related.txt has only one event which can't happen, because it has always=no).
There are several tools which can be used to generate maps. I use a modified version of ck2utils which can generate maps like Breaking the Yoke map.png and multiple colors like in Formgermany.png and svg maps as shown in this forum comment. pyradox can also generate some maps and there might be other tools which I don't remember right now. What do you have in mind for the mercenaries? I could generate some maps for you. A map for each mercenary company which shows their home province would be easy, but these would be many maps. A world map with all home provinces would also be easy, but I don't have anything to label them. Or maybe we could do regional maps and then give each company a distinctive color.
BTW: to sign your comments, you have to use ~~~~(it will automatically be replaced by your username and the date). One ~ is not enough.

Daimyo events[edit]

Hi, I think it would be better to put all the daimyo events in the Daimyo events page and then transclude them on the pages of the Daimyo in question. Most (or all) of the Daimyo pages have {{Version|compilation}} so they should not contain any content which is tied to a game version. --Grotaclas (talk) 10:57, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Make sense, I will put all in the same page and reference them in their country page instead. But tomorrow... Capitaine Spock (talk) 11:04, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi there, just to emphasize what Grotaclas worte -- we moved version-related content from country pages to their own themed pages (ie, formation decisions) to reduce maintenance/update overhead (~400 pages). Content can be put on those pages using transclusion as said above. BTW, not all country pages made the move yet (time constraints), but I'll try to get there. ~ SolSys (talk) 20:09, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Okay, I created all remaining events listed by Grotaclas, including the Center of Revolution events (no icon of the center itself). I also listed on my page all events by theme on the same model than the Missions page. I'm thinking about rewriting List of event lists page with two main parts : by trigger and by theme. Any suggestions? Capitaine Spock (talk) 06:17, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Mission pages[edit]

Hi there. When updating the wiki please keep the modifiers in "icon/number/name" format please as it helps with readability (icons act as sort of bullet points). Also, please note you can now use the {{Opinion modifier}} template (generated by Mras0). Regards, ~ SolSys (talk) 07:40, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Compilation pages[edit]

Please do not directly add content to country pages -- this contradicts the whole compilation designation. ~ SolSys (talk) 18:20, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

1.31 events[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to inform you that I used pdxparse to add all new events from 1.31 which were not on the wiki yet. The new event pages are all linked in the List of event lists or in Idea group events. Unfortunately the search hasn't picked them up yet, so I was afraid that you might inadvertently do duplicate work. But of course you can improve the generated events if you like, but I think there is more important work right now. --Grotaclas (talk) 03:39, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
