New religions[edit]

Could you please add the icons of the new religions of version 1.6 to the template, Meneth.

Done. That should cover all the religions that don't only exist when converting from CKII. ~ Meneth (talk) 12:04, 14 June 2014 (CEST)
Thanks – Lillebror (talk) 12:05, 14 June 2014 (CEST)
Ibadi still won't show up (e.g. on Oman's page)
I've added the Ibadi icon to the template now. ~ Meneth (talk) 12:26, 18 July 2014 (CEST)

New fields[edit]

Perhaps 1444 base tax/manpower? Christopholes (talk) 17:20, 31 October 2014 (CET)

The issue with that is that it is highly variable from patch to patch, and is only relevant to the 1444 start. All the other info is generally applicable to all starts. Don't really want the template to get too bloated either. ~ Meneth (talk) 17:21, 31 October 2014 (CET)
Alright :) Christopholes (talk) 17:30, 31 October 2014 (CET)

Governament Rank[edit]

We need to add the government rank to this infobox. Stigni (talk) 11:24, 10 June 2015 (CEST)

Put the code you want inserted here and I or someone else with Admin rights will add it. Make sure to note the edit to Meneth since admins are not entered. Dauth (talk) 11:49, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
Something like:
<hr />'''[[Government#Government_rank|Rank]]'''<div style="float:right;">{{{Rank}}}</div>
Stigni (talk) 12:31, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
Done, I'll bugfix if its not quite right. Dauth (talk) 12:46, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
Is rank all that relevant though? Without Common Sense it doesn't even exist.
I've made it completely optional for now, but I don't quite see a reason to include it at all. ~ Meneth (talk) 12:57, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
Optional is a good idea. I think that as time passes we may see a Ultimate/Game of the Year pack of EU4 and people will have all DLCs in the pack. In that case it makes sense to future proof the wiki. It may not be the most used piece of information but it may be too early to judge that. Dauth (talk) 13:04, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
We'll judge it as it goes along I suppose.
One change we'll want to make if we do keep it, is to simply stick it in the header of the template instead, as an icon. The icons are pretty recognizable though they could have hover-text for good measure.
That way we don't waste a line, but still indicate rank. ~ Meneth (talk) 13:07, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
Sounds like a good idea to me. Do you have any ideas for icons? Dauth (talk) 13:11, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
I've implemented it now. Simply used the game's rank tier icons.
They do need to be added to the icon template as well. ~ Meneth (talk) 13:16, 10 June 2015 (CEST)
It would be useful to add a note to the documentation saying what the valid ranks are - Duchy, Kingdom, Empire (rather than "King" for example). I'd say the same for the others too if there weren't too many to list. Thrawcheld (talk) 16:01, 16 August 2015 (CEST)
I have expanded the documentation a little bit. – Lillebror (talk) 17:33, 17 August 2015 (CEST)

Categories[edit]

How about adding some more category declarations to this infobox?

You could have the template throw a country article into categories for Religion Countries, Tech Group Countries and Government Rank Countries based on the input. --nixx (talk) 16:31, 20 June 2015 (CEST)

You could also have Monarchies and Republics categories, though that's a tad bit more work. --nixx (talk) 16:34, 20 June 2015 (CEST)

All of those would be easy enough to do. The question is if it is all that useful.
All those criteria except rank can be searched for right now using the country list, which also includes countries that don't have their own page. ~ Meneth (talk) 17:40, 20 June 2015 (CEST)
I didn't know about that page! That is indeed a valuable equivalent. --nixx (talk) 18:23, 20 June 2015 (CEST)

ID[edit]

Please add the Country ID to the list! I can't edit it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phillipm02 (talk) 06:17, 19 May 2018‎

Government[edit]

With the changes to government in patch 1.26 we need to think about how to use this field. I guess the type and tier 1 reform is appropriate, e.g. Republic (Plutocracy) for merchant republics. Though it doesn't seem possible to inspect it for primitives. Hairy Dude (talk) 06:00, 7 September 2018 (CEST)

Missing group national ideas[edit]

Please add group national ideas "Laotian", I can't edit this template --Pokewiz (talk) 17:38, 20 January 2019 (CET)

Done. Thanks for your report. – Lillebror (talk) 21:21, 20 January 2019 (CET)

There have been added quite a few new group national ideas: (Special:Diff/134001), could at least "Fijian" and "Hawaiian" be added? Maybe the new tribal government forms: Polynesian Tribe, Polynesian Kingdom and Stateless Society should also be added (I've already used the former two for Flag of Samoa Samoa and Flag of Lau Lau? -- Mras0 (talk) 12:42, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Monarchy or republic[edit]

Plutocracy government reform is available for monarchies and republics. The template should take this into account. – Lillebror (talk) 10:54, 25 February 2019 (CET)

Perhaps with a new parameter to distinguish?
 | Plutocracy = [[File:Government {{lc:{{{Type}}}}}.png|link={{{Type}}}|24px]]
