Would copying the format the HOI4 wiki uses for their focus trees be a good start? Combine that with an overlay of the missions page and we've got a good system, I think. BoomKidneyShot (talk) 16:27, 17 June 2018 (CEST)

We've had internal discussions following that design. I think the templates also exist on this wiki and if not they can be copied over. If you feel confident starting the transition then its probably best to build up each page on your userspace first and deploying it when completed. Dauth (talk) 16:56, 17 June 2018 (CEST)
I've made up the page for the Generic missions, seems like a good start? BoomKidneyShot (talk) 22:45, 17 June 2018 (CEST)
I agree with that idea. I think we also need to start changing over the nation-unique missions to the same system to better reflect what they are as of Patch 1.25. Armorzilla (talk) 16:00, 17 June 2018 (CEST)
So we add something to either the country page or their infobox, pointing to the correct mission list. For countries like Uzbek (for example), they have the generic mission tree and two small branches. Their page could be transcribing/copying the generic list, and then the unique branches? BoomKidneyShot (talk) 23:14, 17 June 2018 (CEST)
I think that on strategy pages we should link to the missions pages instead of transcluding for the generic missions. The rule of thumb is generally if the missions/events/decisions is longer than four items we should link instead of transcluding. I think the image would look better fully unlocked but that's something that can be fixed later. Give me 24 hours to run it past the other moderators but I think this is suitable. That's what I meant. We link to X Missions, which has the Generic Missions transcluded first, and then any additional branches they have listed below them. Having to link again to Generic Missions on the X Missions page doesn't feel like the best idea, the format I'm suggesting keeps everything on a single webpage without creating versioning problems, as transclusion should keep them updated. (Unindent) This all sounds fine to me. No one has objected so your suggestion suitable for deployment. Dauth (talk) 09:59, 20 June 2018 (CEST)

Map of Nation-based missions[edit]

Some nations are definitely missing from the map. Uzbek (for some reason) has access to the Tatar Missions, and the Timurid Princes have access to the Timurid Missions. BoomKidneyShot (talk) 18:37, 18 June 2018 (CEST)

A quick glance would indicate these are countries with files that have nation specific missions instead of everyone who has access to nation specific missions. Dauth (talk) 09:59, 20 June 2018 (CEST)

Merge some Mission Trees?[edit]

Some Nations share some or all of their missions with a "successor" nation e.g. England and Great Britain or with their "counterpart" e.g. Bharathi and Hindustan. Should not these mission Trees be merged together? In the case of England and GB for example the shields above the missions could be used to differentiate the English missions from the British missions. For Bharathi and Hindustan I would suggest to merge them into something like "Indian Empire" missions Yuuma (talk) 16:23, 06 October 2018 (CEST)
