An Offer of Marriage[edit]

The event "An Offer of Marriage" is actually only one, with a dynamic description dependent on the king's religion and some global flags. I decided to show this by showing each different description as a separate, identical in everything but name and description, event but I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it. Any ideas? --Tre3qwerty (talk) 17:12, 13 October 2016 (CEST)

The template has been updated to accommodate this. Use the HoI4 events as an example [bottom of page]. ~ SolSys (talk) 20:24, 13 October 2016 (CEST)

Every time I wrote in an event "Divorce the consort" or something similar, what's actually happening is that the "divorce_consort_effect" scripted effect ( defined in /Europa Universalis IV/common/scripted_effects/00_scripted_effects.txt) is being called.
The effect contains 6 different if blocks, each giving modifiers, opinion maluses, triggering events, ecc.
Should I replace every instance of "Divorce the consort" with the content of the scripted effect or should it be written once somewhere and then referenced when needed? --Tre3qwerty (talk) 13:20, 15 October 2016 (CEST)

Perhaps it's a good idea to put the effects in a template. (Furthermore the effects should perhaps be collapsed due to their length.) – Lillebror (talk) 13:32, 15 October 2016 (CEST)
Sorry for the late reply, was unable to work on the page on the last few days. I added the divorce effects in the page in a separate template, is it ok like that? Also, should I default-collapse all events on the page for consistency or only those with really long effects? --Tre3qwerty (talk) 13:25, 19 October 2016 (CEST)
