Claiming of colonies[edit]

What does "claiming of colonies" mean?

It means that you can claim a colony that isn't finished yet. For instance, if England is currently colonising Bermuda, and the population hasn't reached 1000 yet, and you want that province too, you can fabricate a claim on the colony. This feature is unique to Castile and can be crucial if you plan on dominating the colonisation. Skylofter (talk) 12:20, 26 September 2014 (CEST)

This Strategy Guide versus others...[edit]

Is this strategy guide the preferred style, as opposed to ones with more direct instructions such as Assam? Uncertain which one I find better. DeciusR (talk) 18:16, 17 November 2013 (CET)

In my opinion, general tips are more useful than specific paths, as it leaves more up to the player, making the guide more fun to follow. ~ Meneth (talk) 18:17, 17 November 2013 (CET)
Alright, then. Kept in mind.

Well, I took a shot at rewriting the article. I wasn't sure if my use of lists was good or not, I can rewrite them into prose if need be. I only updated the version to 1.17 because I played Castile in that version and suspect that the new institutions may change how it plays, and don't have any experience with that yet. —Philadelphus (talk) 05:59, 13 October 2016 (CEST)

Made some minor edits and additions and confirmed that page is up to date with 1.18 patch. -The Waycaster 16:43, 13 October 2016 (UTC-7:00)

Burgundian succession for Castile/Spain[edit]

I didn't notice here, on Spain page, or Spain events page the notes about Burgundian succession events, that have some degree of likelihood of happening due to specific modificators. On Burgundian succession event page there's a nice formula about Spain having the same raw chance of succession as the Emperor. I think it's at least worth mentioning. It's not hard to get, if you try it, and can be a real help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 19:27, 26 April 2017‎ (CEST)
