The Knights Templar are a monastic order that can be transferred into Europa Universalis 4 from Crusader Kings 2 if the order holds enough land. They can also rarely spawn as a nation in the Random New World.
When transferred from Crusader Kings 2, the Knights Templar will have a unique flag and use a special National Idea set unique to them. They will use Western Technology, have French primary culture and will follow the
Catholic religion.
When spawned in the Random New World, however, the Knights Templar will have a randomly generated flag and National Idea set. They will use High American Technology, use
Western units and will follow the
Tengri religion. They will, however, still use French primary culture.
