Kaffa is a country in East Africa. It is surrounded by
Ennarea,
Damot,
Janjiro, and
Welayta.
The below is one of many player suggested strategies for Kaffa. Bear in mind, due to the dynamic nature of the game, it may unfold differently for other players.
Kaffa is one of only 2 nations in possession of a gold mine in the horn of Africa at the start of the game, the other being Damot which is a vassal under
Ethiopia. By developing the gold mine, Kaffa can build up a strong economy in the early game that can help the player expand quickly in order to prevent Mamluk and later Ottoman expansion. The first target of expansion should be one of the Fetishist nations that Kaffa borders because they are unlikely to get any allies as they will likely rival each other and they will have a tough time obtaining alliances since they are the only fetishist nations in the region.
As Kaffa, develop in Cafa while a subject of yours owns it.
