Movement speed is a measure of how quickly an army can move between different provinces. Movement speed of a particular army is affected by local and global movement speed modifiers, as well as by the general leading it.

Country-wide modifiers[edit | edit source]

There are several factors that increase the movement speed for all armies of a country.

Local modifiers[edit | edit source]

Local movement speed modifiers only affect movement into the affected province; movement out of the province is unchanged. The local modifiers of movement speed are divided into those for friendly armies and those for hostile armies.

Army-specific modifiers[edit | edit source]

Scaling up to 100, average of subunits drill for entire army gives:

Movement speed.png +20% Movement speed

Leader-based modifiers[edit | edit source]

A General.png general or Conquistador conquistador increases the movement speed of the army they are attached to by +5% for each point Land leader maneuver.png maneuver skill.

Leader traits[edit | edit source]

The Goal Oriented trait for land leaders gives Movement speed.png +10% movement speed to the army which the leader commands.
