Ansbach is a one province minor in South Germany. It is surrounded by seven neighbors (Flag of Bavaria Bavaria, Flag of The Palatinate The Palatinate, Flag of Nuremberg Nuremberg, Flag of Mainz Mainz, Flag of Ulm Ulm, Flag of Wurzburg Wurzburg and Flag of Wurttemberg Wurttemberg). It has the potential for an alliance with Flag of Brandenburg Brandenburg due to their shared von Hohenzollern dynasty. Ansbach starts with a permanent claim on neighboring Flag of Nuremberg Nuremberg.

As country with Germanic culture Ansbach can form Germany.

 Form German Nation

Regardless of the absence of a strong, central authority, our nation is prospering. The Hanseatic League, formed by hundreds of towns in northern Germany, has contributed to the prosperity of our nation. Intellectual growth, combined with sea and overland trading, has also helped spur the development and transform our country into a wealthy manufacturing center.

Potential requirements

  Germany does not exist.
The country:

If the country is AI-controlled then it:

The country:

  • has an administrative technology of at least 20.
  • is not a subject nation other than a tributary state.
  • is not a nomad nation.
  • is not at war.
  • is not the emperor of the HRE.
  • owns its core provinces:
    • Hamburg (44), Rostock (46), Berlin (50), Brunswick (57), Dresden (61), Thüringen (63), München (65), Nürnberg (67), Hessen (81), Köln (85), Pfalz (1761), Augsburg (1868) and Frankfurt (1876).
    • Königsberg (41) or Elsass (75).

The country:

The emperor of the Holy Roman Empire:

  • gets the opinion modifier “Left the Holy Roman Empire” towards Germany worth:
    •  −150 opinion with a yearly decay of 1.
  • gets the event ‘Germany breaks out of the Empire’.

At the beginning of the game, Ansbach is surrounded by   Bavaria and   The Palatinate, who usually ally   Austria. Ansbach has the same Hohenzollern dynasty than   Brandenburg, so an alliance with Brandenbourg is possible, and, if the player have so much luck, an PU over it. Ansbach is an Opm, so the player can join a trade league, in order to can ally the merchant republic who is lead the league :   Venice,   Genoa or   Lübeck (it can also be   Ragusa or   Novgorod, but the player hasn't any interest to ally them).   Nuremberg is a easy target in the beginning of the game, but it can have joined a trade league. In this situation, it is difficult for the player to beat Nuremberg and the entire trade league. It is the same situation for   Ulm. Expansion at   Bavaria is possible, but the player must be allied with another HRE's great power :   Bohemia,   Brandenburg or   Austria. Ally with Austria is also useful, because the Emperor don't demand unlawful territories if the player ally it. At West,   The Palatinate is usually allied with Austria, so it isn't a good idea to attack it at the beginning of the game.
