Akamatsu is a daimyo in western Japan. It does not exist in the 1444 start, but may be released normally or via special event if the Shogunate comes to control the province of Harima.

In the aftermath of the assassination of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshinori in 1441 the Akamatsu clan was disgraced and stripped of their fief in Harima and handed over to the Yamana. Recently however the fief has once again returned to our hands and the Akamatsu have petitioned to be granted the right to return to Harima.
